Mark Aasen, M.D.

Dr. Aasen was born and raised in Milwaukee and received his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin -Madison. He completed his residency training in Anesthesiology at Loyola University and returned to Milwaukee for a fellowship in Pain Management at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Aasen is a diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiology with a subspecialty Certificate in Pain Management. He has practiced Pain Management in Milwaukee for the past 10 years. |

John Brusky, M.D.
John Brusky, MD, provides specialty care in Anesthesiology and Pain Management and believes in a multi-disciplinary approach to managing most chronic pain conditions. He works closely with his patients and other clinicians to determine the optimal treatment plan. Dr. Brusky is skilled in the latest interventional (injection) techniques and procedures to treat and alleviate pain.
A native of Milwaukee, Dr. Brusky earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He completed his internship and residency in Anesthesiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, followed by a Pain Management Fellowship in 1988, also at the Medical College
Dr. Brusky is diplomat of the American Board of Anesthesiology with a subspecialization Certificate in Pain Management. Since finishing his training, he has practiced exclusively in the Milwaukee area offering expertise in both Anesthesiology and Pain Management. |

A.Hakeem Lawal, M.D.
A. Hakeem Lawal, MD, is a Harvard-trained Pain Management specialist and a board certified Anesthesiologist. He offers exceptional skills in diagnosing and treating a wide spectrum of pain disorders including cancer pain; chronic low back, headache and pelvic pain; complex regional pain syndrome; and post surgical pain. In addition, Dr. Lawal has vast experience in minimally invasive, advanced technology including spinal cord stimulation, intrathecal drug delivery systems, percutaneous discectomy, radiofreqency neuro-ablation and head, and neck and spine injection techniques.
Dr. Lawal completed his Anesthesiology residency at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Chicago. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Pain Medicine and has subspecialty Certification in Pain Management by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Lawal is also an active member of the Royal College of Obstetrician and Gynecologist in the United Kingdom. |

Gordon Mortensen, M.D.
Gordon Mortensen, MD, offers comprehensive and personalized care in Pain Management. He is thoroughly skilled in all of the latest interventional procedures to manage chronic pain.
For the past 10 years, Dr. Mortensen has been active in the St. Luke's Pain Management Center and served as its Medical Director from 1995 to 1999. Currently, he is the Medical Director of the Associated Surgical and Medical Specialists Ambulatory Surgery Center in Franklin, Wisconsin.
In 1981, Dr. Mortensen earned his medical degree from Wayne State Medical School in Detroit, Michigan. Immediately following, he completed a Family Practice residency in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 1984, he relocated to the Milwaukee area where he practiced Family Medicine for three years prior to undergoing a residency in Anesthesiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Mortensen is certified in pain medicine through the American Board of Pain Medicine. In his leisure, he enjoys sailing, skiing, gardening and keeping bees. |
